Year of Metal

There’s a buzz all over about Chinese New Year tomorrow. This is the lunar new year. The Solar new year is on February 4th of every year, which is the date the feng shui changes.

Last week we saw the (infamous) year of the Metal Rat leave and the year of the Metal Ox has officially started.
What does this signify? Well Oxen are known for their steady, persevering hard work and ability to work through all seasons. That is the mind set that will help us in the year ahead. It’s going to be a gradual return to normal and we all need to be willing to persevere in keeping the calm and steadily, methodically working our way back to how it used to be. And remember the Ox is a very responsible animal – personal responsibility will be front and center this year.

The ‘metal’ makes it a year when governments will need to lay down new rules and enforce them. Its also the time to keep your eyes on the prize but nose to the ground – so make long term plans and get working on them systematically and with patience. Definitely a year to rebuild.
